This sculpture was the
original cast I did for my "Fame"
piece, but the alginate set before I had a chance to finish and I ended up with this
mutated "monster" version.
The flowing shroud covers the disfigurement, because this
lovely model could never be a monster. It seems to be more like a shroud of
mourning... for what we do not know.
The title is from a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Many of our scars in life are visible, but most are the emotional scars we carry
that nobody ever sees.
After my motorcycle accident, I can tell you a lot about
both.
