The Reason for Art

Why does an artist create?
  
I guess the answer is a varied as the number of individual artists out there.
I have always loved the world of illusions that exists all around each of us -
- the roller-coaster ride of emotions life offers us  -  the sense of beauty that surrounds us
- the beauty of the sky with a setting sun  -  the beauty of a flower garden in full bloom
- and especially wonderful is the beauty and grace of a lovely lady.
 
The lovely lady in this case is the alluring Eva and I only hope that this sculpture can capture at least a small portion of her beauty to share it with the world.  This is the reason for art.
