This is the first sculpture in my “Heaven and Hell” series.
Originally it was to represent the Holy Trinity.  The central “God” figure is housed in a box- be it that special place in our hearts, or somewhere out in the Heavenly Cosmos, or wherever you may conceive it to be.   “God made flesh in Christ”, the right hand of God, passes through that wall and enters into “our world” and is crucified for His efforts.  With God’s other hand, “The Holy Spirit”, comes straight at us offering the “Peace of God”.
   
The original face I intended to use was three faces as one, but it didn’t work out with this sculpture so I left it alone as “Love Lies Bleeding”.
  
This sculpture hangs in the sanctuary at Grace Church in Perth Amboy, NJ.
