Deconstruction

deconstruction.jpg (45413 bytes)

Normally, I'd “construct” a sculpture.  Here I chose to “deconstruct” the female form into its basic elements.  This is an interesting concept. Then basic building blocks were used to hold them together again.  I tried several faux finishes on these pieces before settling on gold gilding for the solid blocks and “Indian Summer” gilding on the body parts.  It ended with a beautiful effect that works well together.
