| With her robe hanging open,
and her hands clasped in prayer, this sculpture of Karen Ann reminds me of the
pseudo-sexual religious exploration found in the "Sisters of Mercy".
I wanted the robe to have a loose Native American Indian
feel to it.
I've often used the repeating hands, as a symbol of a
halo, offering the benediction. These were added in as an after thought, as was the
cross placed mid-chest.
